Software Global Community Charter

Software Global Community Charter

Effective Date: November 12, 2025

Welcome to the RobotStudio Creator Community!

This community, operated by Energize Lab, is a global creative hub for robot motion and animation programming. Here, you can share the dances, performances, or interactive programs you design for robots like Eilik, infusing them with personality through audio, and connect with enthusiasts around the world to exchange inspiration.

To maintain a safe, innovative, respectful, and robot-creativity-focused global environment, we have established this Charter. By participating in this community in any way, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to abide by the rules below.

Chapter 1: Our Core Principles

1. Legal Compliance and Global Respect: Users must adhere to the laws and regulations of their country/region and the locations where their creations may be shared. Any content that violates widely recognized international guidelines is prohibited, including but not limited to hate speech, extremism, child exploitation, sexism, and racism.

2. Innovation is Key: We value originality. Creators are encouraged to develop robot animations that showcase unique programming ideas, artistic expression, and emotional depth.

3. Safety First: All uploaded programs must ensure that they pose no risks to Energize Lab's robot hardware, the operating environment, or the safety of the operator.

4. Cultural Inclusivity & Friendliness: We respect the diversity of culture, race, gender, beliefs, and identity. The community atmosphere should be built on mutual respect and friendliness.

5. Shared Learning & Inspiration: We encourage sharing ideas and sparking inspiration through showcasing works and previewing them on compatible devices, exploring the joy of robot programming together.

Chapter 2: Content Guidelines

2.1 Absolutely Prohibited Content (Will result in removal of the work and penalties to the account)

- Safety Risk Programs: Sequences that may cause the robot's motors to stall, structural overload, sudden imbalance leading or falling, or physical harm to persons or property.

- Illegal or Violating Content: Any speech or information prohibited by the laws of any country; incitement involving violence, terrorism, hate, or abuse; extreme adult or sexually suggestive content; discriminatory or insulting content targeting any group.

- Infringement of Privacy and Intellectual Property: Programs or accompanying audio that infringe on others' copyrights, trademarks, patents, privacy rights, or rights of portrait. Using well-known commercial characters, music, or brand elements without permission may lead to removal.

- Malicious Code and Abuse: Any code intended to compromise the security of RobotStudio software, community services, or user devices.

- Spam: Uploading a large number of repetitive, non-creative, or promotional programs.

2.2 Encouraged Original Content:

- Creative Dance and Animation: Robot performances with complex sequences, smooth transitions, and emotional expressions.

- Narrative Works: Combining motion, animation, and selected audio to tell a story or convey a specific theme.

- Technical Tutorials and Patterns: Programs demonstrating specific programming techniques (such as path optimization or multi-machine collaboration) that other users can study and learn from on their compatible devices.

- Culturally Fusion Creations: Innovative performances that blend different artistic styles or cultural elements.

Chapter 3: Intellectual Property & Platform-Specific Authorization Model

Understanding Our Shared Technology Framework:

1. You Retain Ownership: The intellectual property rights of your uploaded original works belong to you.

2. Platform Encryption and Distribution License: To balance creative sharing with proper protection, by uploading your work, you agree to the following:

  - Authorize Energize Lab to encrypt the program files and provide secure global distribution services through the community platform.

  - Authorize other community users to download the encrypted program to their RobotStudio-compatible robot devices for previewing, running, and learning.

3. Key Restrictions (Core Platform Rules):

  - Local Decryption and Redistribution Prohibited: Users cannot download programs to local folders for decryption, decompilation, or direct editing of source files. Any attempts to crack or bypass encryption technology are prohibited.

  - Proper Way of Creating Derivative Works: If you draw inspiration from others' works, you should independently recreate them in RobotStudio software, forming your own original program before uploading. Direct copying or plagiarism of motion sequences is strictly prohibited.

  - Audio Responsibility: You must ensure that any audio included in your program has legal rights for use (such as original music, authorized material, or public domain content), and you bear the corresponding responsibility.

4. Rights of Energize Lab: To maintain a healthy community environment, Energize Lab reserves the right to review uploaded content and take appropriate action against any violations.

Chapter 4: Community Interaction, Safety, and Co-Creation

1. Communication Etiquette: Please engage in constructive and friendly dialogue. Professional criticism is allowed, but personal attacks, harassment, or spreading false information are prohibited.

2. Device and Personal Safety Reminders:

  - Before running any downloaded program, ensure that the robot is in a safe, open environment and is being supervised.

  - For programs involving high-speed motions or complex interactions, it is advisable to exercise caution during the first run.

  - Users assume all hardware risks associated with running community programs on their devices; Energize Lab is not responsible for any resulting damage.

3. Co-creating a Positive Environment:

  - We are continually improving community reporting, appeals, and comment functions to build a better interaction mechanism.

  - We sincerely welcome your constructive feedback through official channels to foster a better community environment. Your input is vital to us.

Chapter 5: Review and Enforcement

1. Review Mechanism: We adopt a combination of automated systems and manual reviews to handle global content based on this Charter.

2. Violation Handling: Depending on severity, measures may include content removal, temporary or permanent restrictions on account functions (such as downloading or uploading), up to termination of account access.

3. Appeals Process: If you believe a decision was incorrect, please submit a review request via the platform’s ongoing appeal process. For complex copyright disputes, legal procedures will be followed.

4. Disclaimer: Energize Lab cannot review all content in real time and therefore makes no absolute guarantee regarding the accuracy or safety of user-uploaded content. Users should assess the risks of running programs on their devices.

Chapter 6: Updates to the Charter and Global Applicability

Energize Lab reserves the right to update this Charter in accordance with law, technological developments, and community operational needs. The updated Charter will be publicly posted on the platform. Continued use of community services signifies acceptance of the updated terms.

This Charter is based on the English version; translations in other languages are provided for reference only. In case of any discrepancies, the English version prevails.
